User Forum

The DESI Data User Forum at https://help.desi.lbl.gov allows registered users to ask questions, answer questions from other users, and up/down vote questions that they also have and/or answers that they found useful. Anyone can search the existing questions and answers without an account, but posting requires a free account (to avoid spambots and other abuse).

This forum is monitored by members of the DESI Data team, who will reply on a best-effort basis.

GitHub Repositories

All DESI data processing code is open source at https://github.com/desihub. The primary repositories for understanding the underlying data algorithms are desispec, redrock, and desitarget.
