The Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) data are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (“CC BY 4.0”, Summary, Full Legal Code). Users are free to share, copy, redistribute, adapt, transform, and build upon the DESI data available through this website for any purpose, including commercially, as long as they

  1. Cite the corresponding data release paper.
  2. Indicate if any changes are made (if re-distributing DESI data).
  3. Include the following acknowledgments text in any publications or derived works.

Also please cite publications from the Technical Papers section if they cover any material used in your work.
